Old Dubbo Gaol

The Old Dubbo Gaol is definitely worth seeing, a great historic landmark in Dubbo, and well presented. They have great little animated displays. It gives a good feel for life in Dubbo in the early 1900’s for a criminal.It’s been recently renovated to make it even better.
There’s an animated character out the front that will give you a good idea of what it’s like inside.
It’s not cheap, maybe $30 for a family, but worth it if you plan on spending a good few hours looking around. Make sure you buy a t-shirt on the way out!

You obviously have no idea about promoting tourism.

This site is not here to promote tourism, it’s here to help visitors to Dubbo - I hope you see the difference!
I think knowing the price before you go makes for a better overall experience than being surprised at the price when you arrive.

damn straight you said it, i went to the gaol when i was 13 and yes i did understand the factors of money. But i think if you have a problem with paying some money to see a historic structure or landmark than you need to really to reconcider your choices. And yes i do agree that this site is here to help people wishing to go to Dubbo but, i think the price should remain at the gate as if the price was displayed and it was a bit steap than the tourism compony would not make any money and you should pay what it costs if you want to see it if not your loss
does anyone know how many people visit the gaol a year??

“Council’s Old Dubbo Gaol hosted 5100 visitors last month, the highest figure for four years and 800 more than the January average.”
hi just wondering if someone could tell me how much it is to go to the gaol as i would like to take my kids there while in dubbo.
