Western Plains Cultural Centre

The Western Plains Cultural Centre has recently opened in Dubbo.

The new complex contains the Dubbo Regional Gallery, the Dubbo Regional Museum and the Dubbo Community Arts Centre, as well as a small coffee shop.

The art gallery has had some exceptional works of art on display since it have opened and it is well worth a visit. Last time we were there it had some naked photos of teenagers on display without any warning so I’d check what’s on first if you have children.

The Museum section is a good place to find out a bit about Dubbo’s history.

It is at 76 Wingewarra Street and is open Wednesday to Monday (Closed Tuesdays) from 10.00am-4.00pm. Phone 02 6801 4444.
