Caravan Parks

Dubbo Parklands - Big 4

Here are the caravan parks in rough order of preference for families:
Big 4 Caravan Park, near the Zoo, is the pick of the parks with great facilities.
The Dubbo City Holiday Park is run by the Council and also quite good, but not as nice a location.
Midstate Park is a small park set back from the main highway in North Dubbo.
Westview (ph 02 6882 1339) and Poplars (02 6882 4067) are cheaper options with minimal facilities. They don’t have a webpage.

Wondering where the best places to camp in and around Dubbo are?. (not caravan parks, national parks etc, where I can have a campfire)

i will be staying at the blue diamond motor inn, is that any good?

And can anybody recommend any other cheap accommodation with a pool and close to the station???????????????????????????????

As a parent, I would definitely have to recommend the Big 4 caravan park. The facilities were great and being close to the zoo meant that the kids didn’t have to wait forever to see the animals (as my daughter astutely pointed out on our trip there).
