There’s a small model train display that’s been opened up to the public in Dubbo out on the Yarrandale Road. Get onto Yarrandale Road, drive past the Senior Campus, and it’s up on the left up the hill. It’s a small affair so make sure you ring before you visit! Phone 6884 9944

Couldn’t find it – no directional signs.

Yep it doens’t really stand out.

It’s about 1km up the road, there is a little side road parallel to the main one, with a few industrial type of buildings, a brick place, a storage place, the train place is one of them.

you just keep driving and its all the way up the end in a little road that comes off yarrendale and then back in. and why would there be signs for a train shop anyway?

    Wow

    Amazing detail

Went with the kids and stayed for ages.

One of the best Model Railways I have ever seen

  6. Breka says:

I wouldn’t recommend it. Wasn’t worth the admission of $6 and prices of products for sale were really high.

The detail was good, although the entire display can be examined thoroughly in at most 5 minutes. Very disappointing

Went to Traintasia last week and enjoyed it thoroughly. Amazing Display and so much detail. We enjoyed it so much we bought the DVD and found things on there we did not see on the display. We have always enjoyed model railway and been to many all over Australia. This is one of the best we have ever seen.

Helpful staff and a great range of high quality products.

  10. […] Julie and Matt are urging wedding guests to take the time to explore Dubbo and recommend Western Plains Zoo, the Shoyoen Japanese Gardens and (Julie’s favourite) Traintasia model railway. […]
