Gluten Free Food

If you are in Dubbo and can’t have gluten, here are some trusted and tested places to eat.

Two Doors – a lot of choice of gluten free – the gluten free options are listed on the menu which saves you having to ask about it.

The Blue Lagoon can make gluten free options on some of their meals – you need to ask.

Sticks and and Stones – gluten free pizza available plus some pastas.

Essence – always have a couple of gluten free items on the menu, and seem happy to modify.

Newtown Providores has a great selection of Gluten Free food, muffins and more.

Hungry Jacks – yep, take your own bread and ask them for a gluten free hamburger and chips!

Plus make sure you read the comments below about the Grapevine, Magnolia cafe, Missy Moos, Mr Bean and Jules Crepes. Feel free to add any other places you find.

    The Grape Vine on Brisbane St also has an extensive Gluten Free breakfast and lunch menu.

    I thought only Maccas did gluten free chips.
    Magnolia cafe does gluten free.

    Jules Crepes also has a number of gluten free items on its menu. I tried the potato skins and they were very nice. The serving size is also very good.

    the Outlook Cafe at the western Plains Cultural centre in Wingewarra St has a range of Gluten Free foods. They have gluten free cakes as well as bread and pasta for your meals.

    Almost all of the dishes on the menus of Rose Garden Thai Restaurant (Brisbane Street) and Rose Garden West Dubbo Thai Restaurant (Whylandra Street) can be made Gluten Free.

    Just ask the staff and they’ll be more than happy to help!

    Relish Cafe on Bultje Street has gluten free options as well, we eat there all the time and they are always happy to help create something! Their gluten free bread rolls are the best I have had.

    Indulge on Macquarie…formerly the Darrell Lea shop, near the cnr Macquarie and Talbragar streets has an amazing range of sweet treats to suit all kinds of dietary requirements including Gluten Free…you HAVE to try the whole strawberries dipped in milk, white or dark chocolate and the delicious nougat!
    They also have nut, dairy and sugar free ranges…so no-one has to go without their sugar fix!!

    Jimmy’s Kitchen can also do a number of dishes Gluten Free – and they all taste delicious! A popular choice is Chicken and Vegetables. Some of Jimmy’s sushi rolls are also Gluten Free but just ask to be sure. Jimmy is very accommodating!

    Cafe elevon has a huge range of gluten free options all homemade including chicken snitzel and chips ,nachos ,lasagna ,and a wide range of cakes they also have lactose free milk.

    Golden dragon Chinese restaurant were very careful and accommodating about my gluten free requests. They have a separate gluten free soy sauce in the kitchen and can use potato starch instead of wheaten corn flour ~~ thumbs up
