I’d agree with Press being currently number 1. It has the best atmosphere both inside and out, and great coffee of all kinds. (Drip, espresso, cold press).
Local Coffee Co gives Press a run for it’s money for the best coffee. I’d say for consistency over the years, Local Coffee Co actually beats Press. Local Coffee co also do great barrister training.
According to Trip advisor the best coffee shop overall is Dahab. I think they win on Tripadvisor because without a doubt the make one of the finest breakfasts, their Eggs Benedict 3 ways is unequalled.
Alchemy don’t make the cut on bean hunter, but I go there often for the healthy and locally sourced food.

So if it’s just a coffee you are after, I’d go for Local Coffee Co or Press.
For a coffee and your breakfast or lunch try Dahab or Press.
Loving Magnolia Cafe as the (relatively) new owners have improved the menu. Their melting moments and chocolate caramel slice are ‘to die for.’ The authentic italian pasta is a treat too!
I would like to request that Sprout Cafe get listed Sprout Cafe are a new Cafe in Dubbo, with a lot to offer amazing coffee friendly staff definitely a place to be if you like quality coffee and an amazing atmosphere.
Short Black on Macquarie St use Bill’s Beans Coffee roasted in Orange. They are worth a try or two.
