The Western Plains Cultural Centre has recently opened in Dubbo. The new complex contains the Dubbo Regional Gallery, the Dubbo Regional Museum and the Dubbo Community Arts Centre, as well as a small coffee shop. A good place to find out a bit about Dubbo’s history via pictures and historic artifacts. Find out more by visiting the wpcc website here!

It is at 76 Wingewarra Street and is open Wednesday to Monday (Closed Tuesdays)from 10.00am-4.00pm. Phone 02 6801 4444

The cafe is not so small as it seats 60 people both inside and in the outdoor cafe area. It is open from 8 am for breakfast everyday except Tuesday.

There are some great interactive exhibitions on at the moment and guess what…. entry is free!

  2. Western Plains Cultural Centre is a must see for all Dubbo’s visitors and residents. It’s an excellent way to spend a few hours of your day, learning a bit about Dubbo’s history and viewing the amazing art galleries.
