Come on down to the local Farmer’s Markets and you’ll meet all kinds of locals out for a browse. The markets are on the first and third Saturdays of the month in Dubbo, usually in the park alongside the Tourist Information Centre at the North end of Macquarie Street, but in rainy whether they often move into the RSL undercover carpark.
You’ll find all sorts of Fresh Produce including fruit and vegetables, organic produce, poultry, saltbush lamb, olive oil, wine, sourdough bread, as well as fresh coffee and food. There are also usually plant stalls - including native plants, flowers and vegetable seedlings. On special occasions you may be lucky enough to see a cooking demonstration from a local cheff or some live jazz music.
