December 2007 saw the opening of a new BMX track in Dubbo by Dubbo City Council. It’s a great track, a challenge for young and older riders. It’s at Powter Park, Edwin Street, Dubbo.
To get there head north up Fitzroy Street, accross the railway line into North Dubbo, keep going till you hit the school zone with Dubbo North Public School on the right and a large grassy park on the left. Turn left after the park, this is Edwin Street, the BMX track is on the right.
It’s fenced in, to make sure only pushbikes have access. And it’s free!

2. The RSL Indoor Pool
Monday- Friday: 6.00am- 8.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday: 9.00am - 1.00pm
It’s $8.80 for one swim, or $69 for a 10 swim pass.

3. The Macquarie River
If you are a strong swimmer then there’s a couple of places where you can access the river. The easiest access if probably Sandy Beach. Take the first right off Macquarie Street heading South from LH Ford bridge, drive through Lady Cutler Park, past the cricket ovals, and down near the river you’ll find Sandy Beach.

If all else fails, and it’s raining in Dubbo, you can always go Ten Pin bowling, or have a game of air-hockey.
The Ten Pin Bowling is tucked away behind Orana Mall, Next Door to the Macquarie Inn.
To get there take the first left turn off the highway after Orana Mall (heading east out of Dubbo) , then turn left at the T-bend, follow this road around a bend and you will find the Bowling alley on the left. If you hit Birch Avenue you have gone too far.
